Hofmann 3005320 Bead Breaker Quick Relief Valve for 1510 and 1610 Tire Changers
The Hofmann 3005320 is a bead breaker quick relief (release/dump) valve located at the air inlet port of the bead breaker cylinder. This valve controls how the single line air cylinder energizes and releases pressure as it extends and retracts during bead breaking operation. When the internal plunger fails, it typically crumbles or degrades, causing a significant air leak at the valve or causing the cylinder to bind and refuse to operate properly. These valves feature 1/4 pipe thread ends and are designed for single line air cylinder configurations. Replacing this valve restores proper cylinder movement and eliminates air leaks.
