This is a USA-made 4-way hand control air valve (part number 8185581, also referenced as 185581) for Coats tire changers. This valve is the bead breaker and bead loosener arm control – it is mounted on the end of the shovel handle and activates the bead breaker arm to move in and out when demounting tires. This valve is distinct from the robo arm valve (8185585) – this one controls bead breaking, not the robo helper arm. Common damage includes the handle or handle bracket breaking off from tire contact – handles and brackets are available separately if only that component is needed.
