Coats 8184369 Spring-Center 4-Way Air Control Valve for Tire Changer Foot Pedals
This USA-made 4-way air control valve operates the foot pedals that control turntable rotation and wheel clamping jaw functions on many Coats rim clamp tire changers. It is the spring-centered style, meaning the internal plunger returns to center position automatically when released. This valve is not for the bead breaker pedal – if you need the bead breaker valve, order the non-spring valve (part 1986) instead. To confirm whether your machine has a spring or non-spring valve: remove the old valve, then pull the plunger by hand – if it returns to center with resistance, you need this spring-center valve. Also check the 4-bolt aluminum backing plate; the spring-center style has a noticeably thicker plate than the non-spring type.
