Coats® 8108276 / 800433 Hold-Down Centering Cone for Center Post Tire Changers
The hold-down cone on a center post tire changer is a tapered cast steel cone with a threaded center hole that screws down onto the center post spindle to clamp the wheel against the turntable during mounting and demounting. When the cone’s threads strip, the taper wears, or the body cracks, the wheel cannot be secured and tire service is impossible. This replacement fits many older Coats, FMC, and Hofmann/Monty center post machines. Verify your machine uses a hold-down cone (not a center-post wing nut or other retention style) before ordering.
