Coats 8182317 / 182317 Brass 3-Way Thumb Control Valve for Bead Breaker Handle
This miniature brass 3-way thumb control valve is built into the handle of the bead breaker shovel arm on certain Coats tire changers. Pressing the valve actuates the bead breaker cylinder, driving the shovel to break the bead off the rim. When this valve fails, symptoms include erratic or jerky shovel movement, no shovel movement at all, reduced breaking force, or air leaks at the thumb button or internal ports. This USA-made replacement mounts in the same aluminum handle housing as the original. Confirm your machine has a bead breaker shovel with a thumb valve in the handle before ordering.
