Forward Lift 991281 Hydraulic Cylinder Seal Kit for Prince 2-Post Lifts (7,000-10,000 lb)
This is 1 seal kit for the hydraulic cylinders found in Forward 2-post lifts. It meets or exceeds factory specifications and fits lifts with a capacity between 7,000 and 10,000 pounds. If your cylinder is leaking oil, this rebuild kit restores the seals on ONE cylinder — if you need to rebuild both cylinders in your lift, you will need TWO seal kits. The cylinder is approximately 72.5 inches tall and hangs from the top of your lift with a chrome shaft coming out of the bottom of the barrel.

How to Identify a Prince Cylinder
Look approximately 8-10 inches below the very top of the cylinder (where the bolt goes through to anchor it to the lift) for ID stampings. If it reads "Prince" or "AN" followed by numbers, this is the correct seal kit for your lift. The gland on a Prince cylinder has 2 holes on the face for a spanner wrench, protrudes about 1/8 inch out of the barrel, and is flush with the barrel outside diameter. If your cylinder is already disassembled, Prince cylinders have a distinctive black, middle-humped seal on the piston.

Fitment and Ordering Notes
- This kit will NOT fit cylinders stamped "AA", "T", or "TX" followed by numbers — those require a different seal kit.
- Do not open the bag until your cylinder is torn down and you are ready to match the seals. Remove your old seals and compare them side by side with the new seals in the bag before opening. If inside and outside diameters appear similar, you have the correct kit.
