Challenger 37029 Clevis Rod End and Pin Kit for Air Lock Cylinder – Fits 39000 and More
The air lock release system on Challenger 2-post lifts relies on a small pneumatic cylinder in each column to pull the safety lock pawl open when you press the air release valve. The clevis rod end is the threaded fitting that screws onto the end of the air cylinder shaft, and the pin secures the clevis to the lock mechanism arm. Over time these components wear, strip their threads, or the pin loosens and develops play – any of which will prevent the lock from releasing cleanly. Inspect the clevis for cracked threads, bent body, or a sloppy fit at the pin hole. If the lock is slow to release, fails to release, or drops unevenly side to side, a worn clevis or pin is a common cause alongside a failed cylinder itself.
This kit includes the clevis rod end that threads onto the air lock cylinder shaft and the pin that connects the clevis to the lock lever. The air cylinder (part 37026) is sold separately. Before ordering, confirm your lift uses the older-style air lock release system found on Challenger 37000, 38000, 39000, 70000, and 71000 series lifts as well as equivalent Ammco and Magnum models.

Fitment and Ordering Notes
- This kit fits the older Challenger / VBM air lock release design. Verify your lift uses a pneumatic (air-operated) lock release before ordering.
- Two air lock cylinders are used per lift (one per column); order accordingly for both sides.
- The air cylinder (37026 / CHR7026) is not included and is sold separately.
- Most existing air fittings can be reused; inspect the swivel elbow fitting (37041) while the cylinder is out.
