Replacement Air Lock Release Cylinder Actuator for Challenger and Ammco 2-Post Car Lifts – OEM Ref 37026
The air lock release cylinder (actuator) is the pneumatic component that physically retracts the safety lock pawls in each column of your 2-post lift, allowing the carriage to descend. When this cylinder fails, the safety locks will not release even when the air valve is pressed, leaving the lift stuck at height. Common signs of a failing air lock cylinder include air leaking around the cylinder body or rod seal, locks that release sluggishly or only on one side, or an actuator rod that moves but does not fully retract the pawl. Before ordering, verify the port size, stroke, and mounting configuration match your existing cylinder. This actuator replaces Challenger / VBM part 37026 (alternate reference 37025) and is for the air cylinder body only – the clevis rod end, pin, and air fitting are sold separately and can typically be reused from the original unit.
