This latch pull rod is shown in Figure 17 of the Section 3 parts breakdown and is specified for 7,000 through 10,000 lb. capacity models. It connects the lock release handle to the carriage safety latch, letting the operator disengage the locks to lower the lift. A bent or broken pull rod will leave the safety latches stuck engaged and the lift unable to lower.
