Forward Lift 992648 Short Overhead Lifting Chain for 18,000 lb 4-Post Car Lifts
The overhead lifting chain on a Forward heavy-duty 4-post lift is a critical load-bearing component that operates under high cycle stress and must be inspected regularly. Replace your chain immediately if you observe any of the following: stretched or elongated links, cracked or corroded link plates, worn or flat chain profile caused by a damaged roller, or binding when the chain travels over the top-rail roller. Before ordering, always verify the chain pitch, total length, and safe working load rating for your specific lift. This is the short chain out of the two overhead top-rail chains on the 18000HDL. It connects directly to the hydraulic cylinder, makes a 90-degree turn over the roller at the end of the top beam, then drops down inside the column to attach to the crossbeam. When replacing the chain, always inspect the top-rail chain roller and axle at the same time and replace the entire chain from end to end.

This is the short top-rail chain. Forward 4-post chain lifts use two overhead chains (one short, one long). Confirm your lift measures 22 ft 5 in from outside column baseplate to outside column baseplate before ordering. The chain may need to be cut to length depending on floor levelness.
