Challenger 16138 Hydraulic Cylinder – CL9, CL-10, and Inground Lift Replacement
When replacing a hydraulic cylinder on a Challenger 2-post or inground lift, correct identification is critical. All Challenger cylinders are stamped with their part number on the outer tube housing, approximately 6 inches from the bleeder screw at the top of the cylinder. Confirm the stamped number reads 16138 and does NOT include an “R” suffix – this part does not replace the 16138R variant. Before installation, drain the oil reservoir, clean the tank, and flush the hydraulic system of debris and old fluid to maintain the warranty on the replacement cylinder.
