Coats 8182788 Tapered Steel Mount/Demount Head for Rim Clamp Tire Changers
This tapered steel mount/demount head (duck head) fits the tapered shaft found on many Coats rim clamp tire changer machines. It is machined from tough steel with a built-in roller to guide the wheel bead during mounting and demounting. The tapered bore was introduced on Coats machines in the 1990s. For high-volume shops that primarily service steel wheels on OEM passenger cars and light trucks, the steel head is a durable choice; optional plastic insert protectors are available separately for use with alloy wheels. Verify your machine has a tapered (round-tapered) shaft, not a threaded or straight shaft, before ordering.
