Ammco 2165 / 3009 Replacement Electric Motor for Ammco Brake Lathe 4000, 4000E, 7000 & 7700
This is a replacement electric motor for Ammco®* brake lathes, supplied with a cast iron adapter bracket and all required mounting hardware. Rated at 1 HP and 120V, the motor drives the disc-cutting spindle of the lathe. Common signs of motor failure include the lathe failing to spin up, tripping breakers, excessive heat, unusual noise or vibration, and reduced cutting power. Before ordering, verify your lathe model number, confirm your power supply is 120V single-phase, and inspect whether your existing motor uses a 4-bolt mounting flange (direct bolt-on) or the older welded-pipe style (requires the separate AMO3009 cast iron adapter bracket, included with this unit).

Fitment & Ordering Notes
Before ordering, verify your Ammco®* lathe model number against the fitment list above. This motor does not fit the Ammco 3850. If your lathe is equipped with the original factory motor that features a welded pipe attached to the motor housing rather than a 4-bolt mounting flange, you will need the cast iron adapter bracket — this bracket is included with this unit (AMO2165). If your lathe already has a 4-bolt mounting flange on the motor, the new motor bolts on directly. Confirm your shop supply is 120V single-phase before installation.
