Forward Lift 992604 Long Top Rail Overhead Chain – 4-Post Hoist, Models 12K, 12EWT, 12000SAR, 12000SWT, 12000LA, 12000SA
The upper main beam long chain on a Forward 4-post chain-drive hoist attaches to the hydraulic cylinder on top of the beam, makes a 180-degree turn over a roller at the end of the top beam, runs back through the top beam, and connects down to the crossbeam inside the column. Pins can loosen over time, links can break, and a failed roller will rapidly accelerate chain wear. Replace the entire chain end-to-end when servicing, and inspect every roller to confirm it turns freely with no center wear before installing.

Forward 4-post chain-drive hoists use a long and a short top rail chain; part 992604 is the long chain of the pair that connects to the cylinder. See separate listings for the short overhead chain. This chain may need to be cut down depending on how level your floor is. Measure the lift front to rear (outside baseplate to outside baseplate) and confirm the measurement matches 15’6″ before ordering. Verify specifications against your lift’s parts manual before purchase.
