Forward Lift 991321 Slack Latch Safety Bar Actuator Spring – 4 Post Chain Lift Lock Spring
If the safety latch on your Forward 4-post chain lift is not engaging properly, or if the lock bar feels loose and unresponsive, the actuator plate spring may be broken, fatigued, or missing. Each corner of a chain-driven 4-post lift contains one of these springs surrounding the lock bar. When a chain were to break, this safety bar system is what stops the platform from falling. A weakened or broken spring means the latch will not reset correctly, leaving the lift without its secondary safety protection. Before ordering, check that the spring shows visible breaks, has lost its tension, or that the latch mechanism fails to return to the locked position after being released.
