Forward 991284 Prince Hydraulic Cylinder Seal Kit for 2-Post Chain-Over Lifts
This seal kit rebuilds one Prince-brand hydraulic cylinder in a Forward 2-post chain-over lift. These chain-over cylinders (approximately 4 ft tall) were installed in Forward lifts from the late 1980s through the early 2000s. As seals wear, the cylinder may begin leaking hydraulic fluid. Verify your cylinder is Prince-brand before ordering. Prince cylinders are identified by “Prince” or “AN” followed by numbers stamped on the cylinder. The gland has 2 holes on its face for a spanner wrench, protrudes approximately 1/8 in. from the barrel, and is flush with the barrel outside diameter. The piston has a distinctive black, middle-humped seal. The shaft typically ends in a welded Y-shaped yoke that is not removable. Do not open the sealed kit bag until you have disassembled the cylinder and confirmed the old seals match the new seals by inside and outside diameter. This kit rebuilds one cylinder; order two for the full lift.
