Forward 143535 Outer Plunger Gear – Arm Restraint Safety Lock for Forward 2-Post Lifts
This is the outer arm restraint plunger gear (part number 143535) for Forward 2-post lifts rated at 9,000 and 10,000 lb capacity. The plunger gear rides on a shaft and engages the half-moon gear bolted to the arm, locking the arm in position under the vehicle while the lift raises to make contact with the vehicle’s lifting points. The lift cannot safely raise without this lock engagement. Because the plunger gear and the half-moon moon gear wear together, we strongly recommend replacing the companion moon gear (part number 143534) at the same time to ensure full arm restraint function and avoid premature re-failure.
