Safety Lock B is the latch that drops into the lock ladder as the lift rises, mechanically holding the crossbeam at height independent of hydraulic pressure. This is the part that keeps a stored vehicle safely on its locks; any lock showing wear, deformation, or cracking must be replaced before the lift is used again.
