The lock release cable pulley (sheave) is the small pulley located directly above or below the main locking mechanism on the lift post. The narrow safety cable wraps around this pulley as it routes through the post to release the safety locks. Replace this pulley when you see groove wear, cracking, or when the cable begins to fray at the contact point.
