The overhead lifting chain on a Forward 4-post chain-drive lift is a critical load-bearing component subject to wear every time the lift cycles. Replace your chain if you observe any of the following: stretched or elongated links, cracked or corroded link plates, a worn or flat chain profile caused by a damaged top-rail roller, or binding as the chain travels over the roller at the end of the top beam. This listing is for the 12K Super Mezz variant, which has a longer front-to-rear bay measurement than the standard 12K, 12000LR, and related models. The Super Mezz measures 17 ft 6 in from outside column baseplate to outside column baseplate, making this chain 4 inches longer than the chain supplied for those standard-bay lifts (store SKU FOD2610). Ordering the wrong length chain for your bay will result in incorrect chain tension and improper lift operation. Always measure your lift before ordering. This is the short chain of the two overhead top-rail chains on the lift. It connects directly to the hydraulic cylinder and makes a 90-degree turn over the roller at the end of the top beam, then drops down inside the column to attach to the crossbeam.

Fitment and Ordering Notes
This is the short top-rail chain for the Forward 12K Super Mezz 4-post lift. The Super Mezz is a mezzanine-height variant of the Forward 12K platform with a slightly longer overall footprint than the standard-bay 12K models. Before ordering, measure your lift from the outside of the front column baseplate to the outside of the rear column baseplate. If your measurement is 17 ft 6 in, this is the correct chain (FOD2610-1). If your lift measures 17 ft 2 in, order the standard-bay short chain (FOD2610, part 992610). The chain may need to be cut to final length depending on how level your floor is. Always replace both the short and long overhead chains at the same time, and inspect the top-rail chain roller and axle for wear before reinstalling.
