Short Overhead Lifting Chain for Forward Lift 12000LR-M and RURAL 98 – Replacement Part 992603
The upper main beam (top rail) lifting chain on a Forward 4-post chain-drive lift is a high-cycle wear item. Each chain attaches to the hydraulic cylinder atop the overhead beam, makes a 90-degree turn over a roller at the end of that beam, and then connects down into the column to the crossbeam. Over time the pins that hold each link together can spin, links can crack or break, and a worn or seized roller will accelerate chain wear. Replace the chain whenever any link shows visible stretch, cracking, or deformation, or when the chain fails the manufacturer’s wear-indicator check. When replacing, always swap the full chain from end to end – never splice a section – and inspect every roller for free rotation and center wear before reinstalling.
