Description
Forward Lift 992055 Limit Switch Stop Bar Cut-Off for 2 Post Car Lift
This electrical micro switch is the overhead stop bar / limit switch used on 2-post automotive lifts. It cuts off the hydraulic motor when the vehicle approaches the top beam between the two columns, preventing contact damage. The switch is typically attached to a trip wire or installed inside a limit bar housing on the lift column. Switch failure can cause the lift to run past the safe upper limit. Test the existing switch with a continuity tester before replacing. This listing is for the switch only – the housing is not included but is available separately.
