Description
This is an upper main beam chain for many Forward 4 post truck lifts with lifting chains attached to the main hydraulic cylinder that sits on top of the beam which runs from front to back of the lift. This chain attaches to the hydraulic cylinder and makes a 90 degree turn over a roller at the end of the top beam then connects to the crossbeam of the lift (down inside the column). These chains can wear out. The pins that hold each link together can spin and links can break, also when a roller fails it can break or wear out the chain’s links.
When replacing your chain always replace the entire chain from end to end and always inspect your rollers that the chain rides on to ensure they are rolling freely and are not warn out in the center.
This chain is found on Forward hoist model 12K,12000LR,12000LAR, 12000EWT, 12000LF,12000SF – (Measuring 17’2″ Front to Rear – from outside column baseplate to outside column baseplate)

Note: Forward chain lifts have a long and short top rail chain. This is the short chain out of the 2 that connect to the cylinder. See our other listings for the long overhead chain. This chain may need to be cut down depending on how level your floor is.
