SPX / Fenner Stone Motor Start Capacitor for Car Lift Power Unit, 110-125VAC 540-648 uF

This motor start capacitor is designed for Fenner electric motors and some Emerson motors (model 4763-ACE) used on hydraulic car lift power units. Rated at 110-125VAC with a capacitance of 540-648 microfarads (uF/MFD), it is the correct replacement for the start capacitor found on current-style 220V SPX/Fenner power units. Motor start capacitors are critical for single-phase motors: when a capacitor fails, symptoms include the motor being hard to start, humming without turning over, or failing to run at all. Although rated at 110-125VAC, these capacitors are used on 208-230V power units because certain motor designs use only one leg (phase) of supply voltage to energize the start winding circuit. The capacitor is sized to fit under the standard side cover bolted to the side of most motors.
